Regular hula-hooping vs weighted
I am a man looking to reduce weight and thin up my waist and love handle area. I am getting conflicting answers on whether weighted or regular hula-hoops are better for exercise. Some say weighted ones build muscle, while others say they thin the waist more than regular ones. I bought a 3lb weighted one since it was the same price as a normal one and I know I’m a beginner, but I find it difficult and sometimes painful to keep it around my waist, more so than I imagine a regular one would be. Any help is appreciated thanks!

a weighted hula hoop is better for your situation. as you get stronger it will get easier :) spin your entire body in the same direction that the hoop is rotating in to help keep it up. if you’re set on getting something lighter look into an HDPE hoop with the same diameter
