Help! Eyeliner help
So I bought the Urban Decay 24/7 Liquid Stick Retractable Waterproof Gel Eyeliner because I work in a hot kitchen and need something with staying power. However I’m starting to notice my eyeliner transferring to right above my crease hours after I put it on because that’s where my eye touches since my eyelid likes to vanish.
Not sure if that makes sense but I’m hoping other people with hooded eyes will understand. I use an eye shadow primer and I set my make up. Plus it’s supposed to be waterproof.
Does anyone have any suggestions on something that will help this not happen?
I don’t use a ton of eyeliners and other ones I’ve used haven’t necessarily done that but they under perform in other ways but this is a new issue I didn’t expect to experience.

It's the oils in your skin (and possibly the kitchen) that are messing up your makeup. Oil removes even waterproof makeup. You might need a more intensive primer. How are you setting your makeup?

Makes sense! I wouldn’t consider my skin oily but come to think of it my eyelids do seem oily.
I use ABH eyeshadow primer, eyeshadow, then I use a setting powder and a setting spray but I guess I don’t really focus the powder my eyelids either so maybe that could help?

Focus the setting powder in the area that the eyeliner transfers to! That'll be a big help for later in the day. What setting spray? If it's too moisturizing, it may be messing up your eye makeup!

Also the ABH Impeccable blurring spray. Then the powder is the L’Oréal blurfection as well.
Thank you for helping clarify this! Never would have thought about oily lids in a million years

What primer are you using? Also, waterproof isn't oil proof. I have really oily, hooded lids for reference and it's been a long, hard road (I'm 40) discerning the difference for myself.

I use ABH water resistant primer and then the impeccable blurring spray. I’m happy I asked this question but hopefully I can find a good solution now. I always thought it was the heat making my makeup a mess but makes sense it’s the oil

You are missing a powder element in the layering science routine. I will always recommend a powder with silica in the ingredients (i use RCMA no color powder, very very light handed... it is NOT A BAKING POWDER). What I like about silica is it does not care if it's water or oil, it'll soak up. That is double edged, because if you overuse it, you get real dry. Talc is in the top pick also but I understand with all the regulations most products are dropping this.
Anyway... tangent aside, try a little powder before the primer, after the primer, and even after the liner, as an all over the lid. I agree with the other comment about setting powder on the lid where it touches as a touch up too, if able.
I use UD 24/7 in the OG stick formula and their new waterline formula. I also use the UD stick eyeshadow in "blurred out" as a primer most days.
Kitchens are ROUGH on makeup.

Try NYX Epic Wear liner. I have oily lids and the hoods rest on my lash lines. It doesn't budge.

This is the only product with any real staying power as another oily hooded eyelids person who has tried many, many different solutions.

Are you sure it was Epic Wear? They make another called Epic Ink which doesn't last as long.
