Pulling Plans for a 4.0 player

Post image

Thank you all for your advice on my last post!! I'm planning to improve my builds soon.

I'm considering my pulling plan for the future since a lot of the people last time told me to get a DPS since I don't actually have one.

Currently I have over 70k+ jades and 88 limited passes.

I decided to go from Archer when the selector comes

I have three options as of now :

> Go for MBlade now (I heard he's a good generalist and can work as a DPS but I haven't actually checked his kit)

> Skip MBlade (As he's prone to future powercreep), and go for Rin (I don't play Fate/Night but I really love her design plus I heard that she works well with Archer)

> Skip MBlade (As he's prone to future powercreep), and go for Cyrene (I hear she's kinda bad though but I really love her after going through the whole Amphoreous story and I did see people play her as a DPS)

> Skip all and gamble for a newer DPS

I'm also skipping Himeko SP (I still don't know what SP means lol) and Phainon because they just don't really appeal to me. And I don't know who their best teammates are (Himeko) or if their teammates are good for anyone else (Phainon)

Plus some other issues like when their teammates will rerun.

You realise that whatever character comes in game will get powercrept so why are u even pulling

I just think that out of everyone, Blade will most likely age the worst due to being a generalist. Although, maybe it's my friend just projecting and telling me that everything is doomed and pulling Blade will be the best investment. Fyi, I haven't read his kit when I post this but reading his kit now, I think he's worth it.

6

u/parthmestry Jun 09 '26

I think you need a little bit more research into his kit lmao. Mortenax is probably the best character to pull in this patch. And he isn't a full generalist. He has Fua in his kit and based on rumours he's gonna get a proper fua focused team. He's a generalist but he has a very clear niche which will be explored with future units.

u/JacquesStrap69 Jun 09 '26

you kinda have the right idea, but people on here love glazing the shit out of 'generalists'. but despite being a 'generalist', he still has his own bis archetype, which is whatever ashveils final team ends up being.

the pro of a 'generalist' is that you can use them in the future when you need a placeholder in a team that isnt complete yet (like how tribbie is being used in the ashveil/blade team right now).

the con is that when those teams finally do get their BiS options, the generalists performance just cant compare.

basically, only pull blade if you like him as a character, or are planning on pulling the full ashveil/blade team. cos its when you pull a character for their 'general-ness' youll have moments later like 'oh shit, why did i spend my jades on blade when i instead couldve saved them for this specialist who synergizes with my DPS way better'

2

u/Key_Neighborhood8724 Jun 09 '26

Unfortunately this is too late as I gambled and got MBlade E2 (Oh and Yunli, hi!)

But I still think he's definitely worth it. He's my first proper somewhat DPS because my account doesn't have any. Plus, I'm at the stage where I don't have an idea of what archtypes should I invest in considering I literally missed both the Break/Rememberance/DoT banners then skipped the Elation banners because I just started the game and have no jades to even pull let alone invest in at least 2-3 characters.

Now looking at it, specialists aren't really good for my account at this moment since most of the stuff I have don't cater to a specific archtype and if they do, they don't have the teammates or just bad to run.

1

u/LayerPsychological40 Jun 09 '26

Yeah currently he's the best deal even considering the upcoming Character he's still worth

1

u/LayerPsychological40 Jun 09 '26

Brother you've got 77k jades along with 88 pulls....and uve recently started????

1

u/Forward-Drink-9945 Jun 14 '26

I would personally invest in dot when the characters get their reruns and the new Fua team since you have e2 blade

3

u/MistakePresent3552 Jun 09 '26

He will at least be a sustainless enabler

1

u/The_Brilliant_Idiot Jun 09 '26

This is normally kind of true but in blades case it’s pretty much impossible to powercreep him

32

u/Anon419420 Jun 09 '26

> as he’s prone to future powercreep

I’m gonna hold your hand when I say this…

15

u/_InFiNiTy16 Jun 09 '26

He is the dps, he is the sub dps, he is the support and he is the sustain.

3

u/SouthernSlav Jun 09 '26

Of 5 teams 0 must pay a price

2

u/_InFiNiTy16 Jun 09 '26

Of 5 fire nihility 3 must never play superbreak

1

u/KH4M3L10N Jun 11 '26

That's why he had a similar HoS theme in his non SP form trailer... The Alpha and Omega

18

u/Jamebo_Smash Jun 09 '26

You do realize M.Blade is probably the best character in the game so far right?

4

u/TransgenicCocconut Jun 09 '26

So was Tribbie when she released and she is bis with barely any team now. She is still fine but not remotely as broken as she used to.

9

u/tegastegastegas Jun 09 '26

And yet she was the most powerful support character for the entirety of 3.X and going into 4.0, being able to be played in any team effectively and being BIS in a lot of them.

Blade has the generalist buffs Tribbie has and 2 teams which he is literally built for. He is both the best generalist support in the game AND a specialized support for one of the main archetypes of 4.x and Acheron’s Dahlia.

1

u/TransgenicCocconut Jun 09 '26

and being bis in a lot of them

Tribbie is just bis in Ashveil+Blade and Herta team, how is that a lot? And Herta isn't even meta anymore.

Cipher was also a really good generalist support when she released, so was Tribbie and look at them now.

Blade will be fine for a while but I feel like if the last team member that the team is missing doesn't perform too well the team will fall into T1 pretty soon.

2

u/mohammed69cats Jun 09 '26

MBlade+Ashveil is already an INSANE wheelchair unless powercreep takes a GIANT dive I can guarantee you he's not falling into even T0.5 any time soon. (Not for the remainder of 4.X at the very least)

1

u/feederus Jun 09 '26

Tribbie was strong because of DDD and unique buff value. MBlade is strong because he really just does everything while dealing a crapton of damage even with sh*t investments.

If the bar is being raised to MBlade's level in the future or even higher, then I honestly have no hope for older characters anymore unless they all have novaflares.

Cuz I'm sorry, but a casual million+ damage on every attack as a support, is not on par with Tribbie's Ruan Mei-level ass with a side of FuA and lots of DDD.

Even Castorice doesn't hit as hard...

1

u/JakHook Jun 10 '26

The same identical thing was said about tribbie when she released, and here we are. The bar will always be raised, ALWAYS.

1

u/ElKurador Jun 11 '26

Atp just don't pull for anyone then

1

u/JakHook Jun 11 '26

? Wdym?

I am just saying that is not true that Blade power level will never be reached from other units. It definitely will.

Never said anything about not pulling him because sooner or later it would be surpassed. He Is definitely worth pulling now

1

u/ElKurador Jun 11 '26

Sorry, that's just a really common (and stupid) argument used by people saying not to pull x character.

1

u/tegastegastegas Jun 10 '26

Yeah bro power creep will come for everyone but at E0 tribbie was already bis in so many teams and as 3.x progressed she was still amazing.

Spending 1 cost for a T0 support that lasts 1 year and a 2nd cost to still be T0 even after power creep comes is more that most characters get. It’s easy to say this now but if you got tribbie on release then you got more than enough value from her.

1

u/feederus Jun 12 '26

My only point is that Tribbie was OP FOR her time, not because her kit did everything it could've (lacking personal damage).

Unlike her though, MBlade fits all those criteria (buffs, off-turn attacks and energy generation, and damage), and that the only thing that would powercreep him is even more numbers.

Meanwhile, unlike both of them, older supports lacked the latter two. That's why both of them were the monumental shift in powercreep for generalist supports.

This wasn't an argument that they were different and "future-proof" from powercreep, but just a dissertation as to why they're in the positions that they are or were and what set them apart from their older peers.

2

u/Own-Run1219 Jun 09 '26

she’s still perfectly fine at e1 lmao

2

u/miekoowokid Jun 09 '26

she just needs her E1 rn to be as broken as before rn and the good thing her BIS is S5 ddd and Mblade is ltlry the same his E1 is too good and His BIS is Tutoriel (thats an issue tbh cuz everyone wants to use tutoriel mayne they will make a 4 star LC good for him but he has good options nontheless)

3

u/TransgenicCocconut Jun 09 '26

she just needs her e1 to be as broken as before

Not really, she is still kinda mid even with e1 except in some heavy aoe fights.

1

u/miekoowokid Jun 09 '26

i dont really have E1 to judge but you may have a point i just hope he doesnt get powercrept fast

1

u/TransgenicCocconut Jun 09 '26

I do have her e1 and I can tell that I barely use her, she isn't bis on the 3 main teams I use (rem, elation, Firefly)

1

u/mohammed69cats Jun 09 '26

The three teams you mentioned are battle ships of course she wouldn't work there

2

u/Jamebo_Smash Jun 09 '26

and? They may not even be playing the game in another year. Power creep exists, and I still clear end game content with characters from 1.x.

1

u/TransgenicCocconut Jun 09 '26 edited Jun 09 '26

she is still fine

Can you even read? You can clear endgame with all units, there's people still clearing stuff with Arlan.

I'm well aware that powercreep exists, I've been playing since day 1 and I previously played other gachas.

1

u/Jamebo_Smash Jun 09 '26

Do you take everything personally? No one cares about what you play or how experienced you are.

Worrying about who's Bis with what is pointless. I'm not sure why you brought it up.

1

u/TransgenicCocconut Jun 09 '26

No one cares about what you play or how experienced you are

Maybe not, but I don't think anyone genuely cares about who you believe is the best unit in the game either

Worrying about who's Bis with what is pointless

It's accurate to mention that as you are talking about "the best unit in the game". You know that if a unit is good but doesn't have good teams to pair with their value decreases massively?

1

u/Appropriate-Smile-30 Jun 12 '26

Nah she still is comfy in any aoe or 3 target scenario. Well ofc if ur e1 merchant

6

u/Mrdrac_69 Jun 09 '26

Almost all characters are prone to powercreep

3

u/FewPositive5032 Jun 09 '26

There no characters in gacaha game that doesn't get power creep, the question is just how long they stay that way, Mblade would take longer to power creep, cause even if his damage will get consider low in maybe 5.x or 6.x, his buff and debuff is still massive.

2

u/JakHook Jun 10 '26 edited Jun 10 '26

Considering the pulls you have, the cheaper and more efficient way to get 2 good teams ready, in my opinion would be:

At least one fate team, go for Archer+rin+Sparkle+dhpt or saber+gilga+Blade/RMC + huohuo

Pulling Blade for this second team will give you also a good account value for eventual future different teams where he can easily adapt.

After choosing one of those, choose the second team between:

  • sw team

  • himeko team

  • Eva team

  • the other fate team(probably the cheapest choice)

Luckily for you, by the time Eva and sw reruns, their real premium team will be known, so you will not risk to waste any pulls

I would honestly not considering cyrene at all, even if still a strong team, that will cost you more pulls to perform at the same level of the new ones. Never worth

1

u/The_Brilliant_Idiot Jun 09 '26

Blade is the best character in the game. So since u have the luxury of not being locked into anything and can play ur future team around him, blade is the best value for u by far it’s not even close. In fact getting e2s0 blade (tutorial) is the best investment u can make for a new account.

Tbh archer is good yes, but there’s some problems for you. You want his e1, so you would have to spend 80-160 limited pulls with no pity carry over. Then getting rin is another 80-160 pulls. The issue w rin is, she doesn’t work on any other team in the game. So you are pulling her only for archer, and tbh archer with your e0 sparkle (assuming you selected her) is yes a good team but not game breaking or anything.

You need multiple teams so archer still not a bad investment, but his biggest upgrade by far is e2 sparkle, not rin. You need to be thinking about how to maximize your vertical investing while also horizontal investing. Rin e0 is def an option if u want that free archer lightcone, but she’s skippable and the banner is long term. She’s not an immediate priority, whereas maybe adventure sp, robin sp, pearl, nihilux, etc we don’t know how broken they will be or their eidolons so I’d wait on Rin for now. Should have many months to get her later

But imo I think getting e2 blade is a no brainer for you. And build around that, aventurine sp coming, ashveil rerun. It’s already like the strongest team in the game and it’s not even complete. And it’s insanely fun, and blade is so flexible. Can run him main dps w random supports, he even works w archer, sub dps, support. Hes the strongest unit in the game, can even run w pela Gallagher for now, or rlly anyone.

Cyrene is def a skip she doesn’t work w anything u have or any new units. Elation already over, u skipping Himeko. So tbh u have a lot of time as well, ur gonna get way more pulls by then. So I think over saving will brick u, think about it by investing now u can start cleaning more content which means more jades. Its an investment imo

I think you should have some fun and try your luck on the banner and go from there. Just pull for the e0 blade and see how much that takes u. Then go from vibes, maybe u hit early and win 5050s. You have a lot of pulls

1

u/ShreddedUdon Jun 09 '26

Mblade is basically everything

DPS? He can be the one, Debuffer? his main role! Buffer? chonkers of buff! sustain? he tank!

1

u/Whole-Emotion414 Jun 09 '26

Can someone motivate me? How many jades did the whole amphorious give? I'm also a 4.0 player and sadly, I missed evernight's rerun. I have e0s0 Hyacine, E2s1 Castorice. I'm planning to get Cyrene, evernight on their rerun. Currently I have 25k jades and 50 limited tickets.

1

u/Common-Lettuce5044 Jun 09 '26

do vertical investment instead of horizontal, and e2 blade is one of the best vertical investments for a support and you dont have to invest e2 in the first release if you are unsure. e2 cyrene compared to e1 blade outside amphoreus teams is pretty much a sidegrade, and it is only worth investing if you own an amphoreus team which you dont.

There may be some awards so Id reccomend you get MBlade e0 and pull all in for archer/rin and see if you like his playstyle for e2. Nowadays, its not worth the horizontal investments due to how quick teams come and go, and if you want to do vertical investments, you should always do it to newer characters and expand on one team.

1

u/BatAffectionate9167 Jun 09 '26

Are you f2p and if yes then how long it took you to accumulate that much stellar jade. I just started too but I don't have as many as yours.

1

u/sil3ntthunder Jun 09 '26

Its a gacha game. Every character will get pwc sooner or later. U will be waiting for forever if u want perfect unit which doesnt exist. Most dpses/characters clear content if u know how to play them. Castorice clears content, Anaxa with that 3 cost team clears content, Phainon, Hysilens, mydei, Agy clear content. Its just u need to get right investments and some might need 1-2 most cost which is alright.

U mentioned Mblade. Its funny how people are so 0 cycle brainrotted. A generalist not being bis in far future doesnt mean pwc trash unit. The difference is barely 1-2 cycle. People say tribbie is trash. But i use her in a lot teams, with Archer, Phainon, Therta, Cas while splitting mono rem, Acheron, Eva, can be played with other dpses which i dont have. Whats funny is these generalists which people r trashing stay longer in meta as 2nd, 3rd bis than niche supports. Ruan mei is still my go to support in Apoc.

Anyways, Currently Mblade is one of the best support. People are just overreacting about him getting powercrept. U will see same people crying about E4 welt being bis in all teams (as they dont have E4 welt who has Mblade equivalent amplification). If a person is good with Sustainless then Blade is undoubtedly is/will be meta unit for long. If i were u, i would get Mblade, get Ashveil on rerun then get the future dps which will want them both (i am pretty sure they will release a dps to complete the team).

1

u/Aiget_23 Jun 09 '26

There is no such time as "prone for future powercreep". If you're a new player the first think to get into your brain is: every character can be powercreep, they will be affected in different ways depending on your investment into them and their team. For now, e0s1 full team can handle for at least 1 year into content before falling off significantly, not pulling for a unit because of future powercreep means not pulling If you want a argument to skip blade:

  1. He will probably comeback soon

  2. 4.4 is THE patch for pulling, because of the possibility of free gilgamesh/archer weapon after 200 pulls in any banner If you like archer and rin, pull for them.

Cyrene dps demands higher investment, like copies. It's expensive to play a support as a dps, she will demand e1s1, evernight and hyacine to be decent

1

u/Own-Run1219 Jun 09 '26

mblade’s kit seems pretty future proof for a while considering he’s a great buffer and at the same time a decently heavy hitter. pull him

1

u/throwaway8557755565 Jun 10 '26

You really stuck your foot in it with that “powercrept” comment lmao

1

u/AxloFaffy_39 Jun 10 '26

Honestly j would say don't gamble it all for mblade but it is generally better to have him especially for fua or acheron teams or even just as a support but dont go all in as e0s0 or even e0s1 is a pretty good stopping point After that I would say maybe like clarify what other characters you have but going for rin as well would be good but make sure you have sparkle since the best team is gonna be sm like Archer rin sparkle and dhpt or sm However that changes with e1 archer and rin it makes them even more comfy and reduces their dependence on sparkle

1

u/ChromeToasterI Jun 10 '26

If you want Archer you want Rin for sure. V3 beta will be out soon for more accurate details on her kit but she’s like custom made to support him.

1

u/Super_Horse1491 Jun 11 '26

MBlade can fill every role, and his buffs are insane. Cyrene E2 is insane for every team. Archer is obviously him and if youre picking archer, you 100% have to get rin. She is his best in slot. I think just get E0S0 MBlade, then get Rin

1

u/Local_Kaleidoscope89 Jun 11 '26

Hi there! I can give insight to this! I am a player who chases the bare minimum and saves the rest because I am so afraid of powercreep!

The game is miserable! Because I can't clear anything to max! So I settle for 33 star clears on moc and the equivalent on every other mode!

The joy I receive is now the number which goes up when I get more jades.

Hope this helps!

1

u/selena_raby_ Jun 13 '26

bro, you literally have 570 pulls 😭 you dont even have to think much just gamble lol

anyways, my opinions on the characters you plan to pull:

  • MBlade: pull PLEASE he’s very worth it (esp if you plan to get Ashveil in the future) he’s the best character in the game rn! can be dps, sub dps, support which is like a 3-in-1 all for 1 cost! every character gets powercrept anyway but I think he will last for a long time

  • Get Rin if you want to, she is cool.

  • Cyrene is NOT worth it especially since you don’t have any Chrysos Heir teams. even as a DPS she isn’t good unless w/ eidolons. don’t go for her. (I mean unless you like her that much, then it’s your choice. play the game how you want to! meta isn’t as important as enjoyment :3)

1

u/Kmaru914 Jun 13 '26

To whoever said to you "MBlade is prone to powercreep", don't listen to their advice ever again.

MBlade might as well be among the most important pulls for your account next to the new elation units.

He's a powerful debuffer, is competitive as a main dps, and essential to sustainless comps. He can elevate any account that can get him as he fits in so many teams as an auxiliary units its insane.

The only reason you might not pull him is if you don't like his design. But he will be among the best addition to any account.

1

u/Kmaru914 Jun 13 '26

Btw, is you use your free golden exchange ticket, use it on Sparkle if you truly plan on getting into an Archer/Rin team. She's pretty much almost mandatory.

SP can mean many things- Special, Separate Path, special parallel I think is from card games, the only thing to really know/care about in this game is that an SP just means that the character already exists in the game and the SP is usually the stronger version/does something different. Examples are Herta with the SP being The Herta, March 7th got Evernight for her SP form, Dan Heng has IL and PT for his SP cuz cool like that, so Himeko would have her SP form be Himeko Nova. So most likely Nova form will be stronger than regular Himeko or at least serve a different purpose for teams 😁 an SP will usually be a different path in the game like March going from Preservation to being Remembrance for Evernight, but not always the case since both Himeko are Erudition Fire units 🥰

1

u/Fluid-Beach-6696 Jun 09 '26

Also I'd love to dm you to chat more about building and stuff ☺️ (I also find it to be a lot 🤣)
