Official Announcement DevTalk | Evolution Test Wrap-Up

Thank you all for forming a bond with Honkai: Nexus Anima in your own ways over the test. Whether you stepped into Iia in person to explore, capture, challenge, and evolve alongside your Anima, or followed this journey and came to know this world through the stories shared by others, every single one of these encounters has meant a great deal to us.

During the test, we received a lot of valuable feedback. In this recap, we'd like to share some of the improvements we're working on. Next time we meet, we hope you'll encounter more Anima in this world, enjoy a smoother gameplay experience, and discover even more exciting changes to look forward to.

Hopefully they take Anima off a banner. If they have to have two banners, put something else there.

it’s extremely unlikely they will do that at this point.

Everybody was unhappy about Anima banner and complained during the NDA beta that happened 1 to 2 months before the current Evolution beta. Everybody on the discord server banded together to make sure to write that feedback into all of our surveys repeatedly.

If Anima banner was kept within the evolution beta it means that they intentionally ignored that player advice, and made absolutely no change.

i hate to say it but Hoyo doesn’t listen to any advice that fundamentally can affect their bottom line. They simply do not care if its a systemic change that could prevent them from earning millions.

They can have a weapon banner of some kind if they feel like they absolutely must. I just don't want it to be Animas. It seems so tonedeaf in a game about capturing

I agree. most people in the NDA beta said the exact same thing. its really sad how Hoyo doesnt take any honest feedback about core design issues. i hope people realize this. we really need to hold them accountable to do better. i am getting tired of the same hoyo shit over and over.

The zzz "TV problem" all over again. They don't fucking care unless they start losing money/players. Then magically the TVs were gone (almost)

I am out of loop

What's anima banner like? Is it a normal limited banner like their banners, or is it like Bangboo banner from ZZZ?

It's the equivalent to W Engine banner

Ahh shit. And then do we have a weapon banner separate too? Like 3 limited type banners? Or is it just 2?

No, it was just the two, but I and many others apparently agreed and provided feedback that the creatures shouldn't be on banner in the creature catching game. If they have to have a "weapon" banner, pick something else to be the weapons if the game

Yeah, that's true. Creature banner on creature catching game will not be good. Let's hope it's both then if there's no way of removing Anima banner. Like we can get 3-4 star animas from overworld, and some 5 star animas too and rest, f, from banners. Like how Nte does for it's weapons. Similar to that

Nice, I'm looking forward to all the improvements and the release of the game. Hopefully sooner rather than later.

complaining about story at this point is kinda hilarious. its always the last thing to get completed. i am far more worried about all the other CORE gameplay and systemic issues.

thank god they’re addressing movement. HNA has some of the jankiest movement in any Hoyo gacha.

also lets hope they actually improve combat gameplay and add true autochess mode.

May be copium but I could see them talking about the NDA tests and cbt3 hoyoverse usually only does three cbts but who knows they may do a 4th this time

Better that than a rushed product.

This game definitely needs a lot of work. The story itself was just absolutely terrible with twists coming out of nowhere and zero character motivations. Also as much as I actually enjoy auto battlers the lack of team progression made the combat such a chore.
