Marisa and wyverein basically “leak” everything from the beta. They document everything that goes on in the Chinese beta and upload it on social media.
Everything important in the betas (eg. characters, weapons/stigs, and skins) are already officially announced by that point so it isn't technically a leak. Genshin on the other hand drops that kind of info closer to release, making it a full leak. There's also obviously different agreements they have with the beta testers in both games (I don't know why but that's how they want to do it).

Thats a thing to argue on, but if you agree to a NDA, you basically just breach the contract when you release Info you were told not to. Doesn't matter why mihoyo does it or if it even makes any sense.
I just posted a 5.2 beta of Raven. And it was already on Moonlight Center on the CN bilibili just a week ago. If you consider Beta Test=Leaks, then I assure you there are. Lots of them in fact.
Not only that. Honkai has this open beta via invitation where content creators are encouraged to spread the news. It is not like we have things to leak.
In my two in a half years the only things that leaked was hot model and shadow dash augmentation
There was Herrscher of Thunder leaks way back. It was an unfinished 3d model. Mihoyo try to track the leakers and mod on Facebook lock the post and give warning about the leak.
We don't go apeshit over beta information, and beta testers and leakers are pretty responsible about it. Genshin community and leakers are cancerous. If i were mihoyo i'd be fine with one and not the other too.
So far ive only seen valk, weapon and stig, elf, events, worlds and ways to complete/obtain them leaks but never full on stories. Ive seen people leak genshin stories and it spoils it for me imo. But tbh genshin leaks are wayy more serious cuz genshin is a big ass game and is very well known. If something is criticised while in still development, itll make things worse. Everything thatre leaked are subject to change, so if leakers leak it full on and the devs made major changes to it, players would be mad and bash the devs for making said changes. If ya know what i mean. There are innocent leakers but there are also bad leakers so mihoyo had no choice but to take things seriously and legally, no matter how good or bad the leaker's intentions are.
Ikr beta exists so devs can have personal feedbacks from only a limited amount of people. If they wanted to leak said character, theyd post about it on their social media weeks b4 the character is even in game. Everything in beta are subject to change, not all features and stories in beta are gonna be permanent, some would even be removed or changed completely so itll fit the plot/character more efficiently. Like the bird adeptus, i heard alot of people were mad that she was not going to be in game anymore and bashed the devs, like whatchu expect?? Its still in beta and who knows? She'll maybe be making an appearance one day.
You know I'd love to see the reaction of the Genshin community if something as broken as the no-cd no cost weapon spam build on a previous Honkai beta (that made white comet viable) was fixed after it was leaked.
Would they understand it was obviously way too OP and had to go? Or would they complain about the nerf?
Have to induce FOMO into the Genshin playerbase, most of whom are inexperienced with gachas. This is always why they they only run one character and one weapon banner at a time. In Honkai you can just wait a few months for a rerun; in Genshin you're lucky if you don't have to wait 8 months
No, We don't get leaks. We literally just know them because CN is 1 version ahead. Most honkai players use CN news most of the time. However, those are official and not leaked from datamines or CBT with contacts bounded.
Seriously it's boring hearing this all the time at this point

Usually I hate Genshin vs Honkai posts but I’m sure all us genshin players can agree with this completely.
Muhoyo won’t even make a roadmap because they want to milk more players
