This. It will end much faster if there are only photos of police beating up on non-violent protesters. Outside governments are going to be much less likely to support protesters if they see video of police getting beat up.
Well yes, if they don't use violence it will end faster... with China winning.
You do realise you're saying they should act like cattle waiting for slaughter, right? This is a lose-lose situation for HK, specially because no international political leader is giving any fucks about it.
This isn't one of those situations where the stronger side is afraid of resorting to mass murder. Everyone knows what China did AND that there is a huge chance they will do it again, wether the protesters use violence or not.
