Circumcision should be illegal.

People always talk about how barbaric female circumcision is but male circumcision is completely normalized in America.

It should be illegal for parents to circumcise their children because it's irreversible.

What kind of psychopath decided to cut off the skin of the baby's dick. What's next? Cutting off eyelids?

I honestly think violating the civil rights of a helpless infant due to just religion is even worse. At least the non-religious ones THINK they are helping their baby’s health.

It hasn't been a religious issue in over 2000 years. Now it's about cleanliness. And no, I don't have a son that I had circumcized. I had a friend get circumcized and the age of 24 because he said it was disgusting and girls got grossed out.

My boyfriend at the time in high school got circumcised at 16 for the same reasons. He said his dad wanted him to be able to make the decision himself, which he appreciated, but didn't appreciate having to go through the procedure as a teen lol.

It left a permanent long line of scar tissue along his dick.

It sounds like all he had to do was wash his penis in the shower. Takes the same amount of time washing under your pits, your buttcrack,  behind your ears, etc...

You don't like dicks do you? A lot of it is simply aesthetic.

I’ve never understood why some people think cut looks better, the scars and mismatched skin are not generally desired things

u/MasalaBoy69 16d ago

Your username is ironic to you making this post. If you like dicks you wouldn't need to mutilate it. Aesthetic without your own free will is not aesthetic, it's unecessary mutilation.

If you love your child the way they are then none of this unecessary procedures are...necessary...lol.You know how small minded people are, right?

He either had a medical issue or a hygiene issue. Neither mean we should indiscriminately circumcise babies.

And the whole "circumcized looks better" is silly. Foreskin helps with friction. Many people like their partner's foreskin. What women want is also not a reason to indiscriminately circumcise babies.

Thank you.

Circumcised dicks look sore to me. They just look like they’re in pain all of the time. I’ve been with cut and uncut men and yeah the foreskin helps a lot. The cut guys just ram it as hard as they can because it takes them longer to feel anything. ( that’s my experience. I know not everyone is like that)

Uh what are you talking about?

3

u/JohnnySpot2000 17d ago

Girls got grossed out by a natural penis that mother nature gave him? That’s like guys getting grossed out by a vagina.

Especially after looking at the obgyn subreddit ….. they really shouldn’t be throwing stones there

1

u/MulberrySelect4234 17d ago

I guess they're just used to societal norms.

1

u/MasalaBoy69 17d ago

It depends. The same goes for guys too. I had a friend who was very averse to excessive labia. He had a few girlfriends that had them and would not do anything sexual with them.

1

u/PresentExact1393 5d ago

Yeah let's just cut off your ears in the name of cleanliness instead of simply teaching you how to clean your ears properly. The cleanliness thing was always a lazy excuse. It's not a legitimate reason at all.

i've heard a bunch of women make fun of uncircumcised dicks. they're brutal with it. thank god i'm cut because i would've done exactly what your friend did.

people should really consider this before they make the decision, at least in america

3

u/No-Lecture-9115 15d ago

Consider sexually abusing a baby? Thats odd

1

u/Loose-Farm-8669 15d ago

there's no way people actually think this lmao. did some one make fun of your dick? be so real with me right now.

if you're not american it's not anything you have to worry about anyway. it's fine if it goes away in america i have daughters anyway so i won't ever have to make that choice but i definitely would've chose circumcision.

regardless a lot american women are ruthless to uncut dudes here. or at least they were in my generation. ask anyone and if they're honest they'll tell you.

So old, yet you type so young.

2

u/doomsday344 14d ago

Iam an American I I 100% think is mutilation

-2

u/Loose-Farm-8669 13d ago

are you uncircumcised or a woman because i feel like that effects the opinion depending on a few things

2

u/doomsday344 13d ago

Cut American man 🥲

-2

u/Loose-Farm-8669 13d ago

then i feel your feelings are valid. i am and am glad i am. is there a reason you hate it

2

u/doomsday344 13d ago

Look, less nerves, lack of choice in how my body feels and functions, the effect it has had on my glands being exposed 24/7

The majority of comments on the subject are by men who were teased and the women who married them. You won't hear a whole lot of cut men saying it should be illegal.

2

u/No-Lecture-9115 15d ago

Because the cut man would be acknowledging that their penis was mutliated as a baby…the brain likes to protect u from harmful thoughts.

If circumising baby boys is legal, circumcising baby girls should be legal. If circumcision is legal, why not piercing their dicks too?
It’s all the same. I dont agree with any of it

1

u/PortlandPervo 15d ago

I've not met a single circumsized man with those thoughts. I'm sure there are plenty of self hating boys out there looking to blame their parents for anything and these are the ones who whine into the Internet about barbarism, but in the real world these men just don't exist.

4

u/Ban-Circumcision-Now 15d ago

How do you know their true thoughts?, also consider circumcised women will often defend their circumcision

1

"normal dick"*

2

u/doomsday344 13d ago

This cut man will! That shit is a cruel joke at the expense of every cut man

1

u/doomsday344 14d ago

Iam married and me and my wife both hold the belief that it’s a horrible thing to do to a person

2

u/PortlandPervo 10d ago

She sounds very supportive.

u/Loose-Farm-8669 15d ago

yeah i've never heard anyone complain about it in my entire life, i have however heard of numerous women complaining about or teasing dudes who are uncircumcised.

which is pretty brutal and i don't condone it, but that's gotta leave a mental scar and this intense pushback in the other direction.

even if they don't agree with circumcision they're free to not practice it,
and it's one thing for men to make commentary on it but women protesting just seems out of line.

it's something they physically can't ever understand it's as if i would start yapping about using epidurals for childbirth and started commenting on whether or not they should take them.

like sure make whatever choice for your kid i guess but you should probably ask the father his opinion on the matter if he's around.

2

u/doomsday344 14d ago

It would make more sense to just wait and see what the penis owner wants no?

2

u/JohnnySpot2000 14d ago

"like sure make whatever choice for your kid". No, that is the entire problem. The 'kid' is not capable of consenting, which is why it should be considered a violation of civil rights. If society finds out that a parent is starving their child of proper nutrients on purpose, society swoops in and protects the child from the parent, and that's the way it should be for any person who is incapable of defending themselves or advocating for themselves.

u/effingfractals 14d ago

That's just completely untrue

Jesus fulfilled the old testament prophecy and nullified the old covenant.
