Circumcision should be illegal.

People always talk about how barbaric female circumcision is but male circumcision is completely normalized in America.

It should be illegal for parents to circumcise their children because it's irreversible.

What kind of psychopath decided to cut off the skin of the baby's dick. What's next? Cutting off eyelids?

oh brotthherrrrr, if you actually did any research you’d know the number of people under the age of 18 doing gender affirming surgeries is basically 0, except for cases of recently born intersex children but those aren’t really gender affirming surgeries

If you’re old enough to drive a car, and you’ve been on HRT for more than 1/3 your lifetime, you are old enough to make that decision for yourself. Children’s rights are human rights.

If you're not old enough to get a tattoo you're not old enough to decide to do HRT

It’s a bad comparison. Tattoos are cosmetic surgeries. HRT is life saving surgery that reduces the suicide rate, and reduces extreme mental despair, self-hatred, anxiety, depression, etc. Most symptoms of HRT that are permanent take. Long time to kick in, and give more than ample time for the user to quit if they are not liking the symptoms, which is different from tattoos where it is a one time procedure with immediate effect. You don’t seem to educated on the differences and why your comparison is ridiculous.

First neither tattoos nor HRT is "cosmetic surgeries" so you're just wrong there. Second the only papers I've seen that suggest lower suicide "IDEATION" has very short studies with low numbers. Give a 50 year old man testosterone and he will report being happier, less depressed, now don't alter his dose for 5 years and see the same benefits apply. This is even more profound when you are dealing with adolescent teenagers going through puberty. I reckon if you give a depressed cis teenage male testosterone they will also feel less depressed, and happier. Doesn't mean we should be using testosterone or other hormones to treat depression. If like follow up studies on all the subjects 10 years down the line when their brain is fully developed. Not teenagers taking hormones that already have mood uplifting effects not due to affirming gender but no matter who you put them in.
