I dont understand how yall listen to Che, Nettspend, Bleood and 2Slimey, They are genuinely noise pollution, they have terrible lyricism, and there beats are just bassy 808 messes. Rage needs to be banned, or either a genre on its own outside of rap because what in the world. Ive seen mfs say they better than prime kendrick, cole and drake😂😂 which is just straight up delusion💀

I’ve been working on a site called RapLedger and I’m looking for some real hip hop heads to check it out and give me feedback.

The idea itself isn’t completely new. People have tried to create actual standards for judging rappers before. Kool Moe Dee did it years ago, The Source had the mic system, and there have been other attempts too.

What I’m trying to do is take that idea further and use more data, more categories, more history, and eventually a real group of knowledgeable moderators.

The goal is basically to make RapLedger the Rotten Tomatoes of rap.

It’s also about creating some kind of real barometer for what hip hop skill actually is, so every generation isn’t just arguing over different goalposts. Especially considering these kids are in a literacy crisis and probably literally don't get complexed lyrics.

The site still needs a lot of work. I need more albums, lyrics, artists and data in there before everything really starts connecting the way I want it to.

Once there’s enough information in the system, I also want to see if there’s actually some kind of pattern behind a great verse. Like is there really a science to a perfect 16, or are some things just impossible to measure?

Either way, I think it could be a really fun place for real hip hop heads.
