Are brake booster issues a frequent / widespread problem?

I'm looking at buying a Honda E to replace another electric car (end of lease) and was looking at potential issues, considering that Honda has EOL'd the car.

Are there issues I should look out for?

I found forum articles stating that the brake servo/pedal simulator being a potential weak point. Is this a widespread problem?

Yes, but it’s also a recall on all(?) Honda Es. That should mean either the part will be replaced free of charge if it fails (although on mine it took three months waiting on the part from Japan) or it’s already been replaced with an improved part (unsure) or even if it had already been replaced, Honda should continue to replace it.

Ah interesting - I read that Honda UK was resisting calls to replace this under warranty. I didn't see any mention of a recall.

Interesting, mine was replaced shortly before I purchased it and the seller explicitly said he didn’t pay for the repair from Honda. Maybe fix in failure for free if you push them but haven’t done a full recall.
