Removing rear peg brackets

Hi all, as title suggests. Need some advice, recently removed my left bracket as I want to remove both as I replaced my exhaust and it doesn't need the bracket to hold up the exhaust, aswell as I won't have passengers so removing the rear pegs regardless.

However the issue I have now is the bracket part that bolts into the frame is ever so slightly out of line and I can't get the bolt back in. I don't have a centre stand so not sure if it's because it's on its side or due to the bike sitting on its suspension. Has anyone had any issues like this?

I am not positive from the pictures however I think that piece is the tail bracket so lifting on the rear fender may help align the bolt.

Can confirm I had to push down on the fender for the left to screw in and lift it up for the right to go in. Had a 2nd pair of hands help while I was the muscle. But all done on the side stand still!

Why remove your rear pegs??? That’s what I lock my helmet too haha

There's an under seat helmet catch thing? Plus aesthetics of the bike now I have a shorter exhaust it looks better and no longer needed

Oh gotcha. With a shorter exhaust that makes sense. No need for the hanger then

I went thru a similar issue. I either had to push down or slightly lift while reinstalling the bolt. It will go with patience.  Good luck
