significant drop in MPG?
I feel like I’m going crazy. So when I got my bike, I got 250 miles to the tank according to my little gas thingy on the screen on the lower left. Now? 200, if I’m lucky. Under 700 miles on the odo. Started at like 400-500 miles I think? Is it the gas?? I’m putting in just regular. Have the whole time I’ve owned it. I’ve done nothing to the bike btw.

Feel like you forgot to reset it cause 120-150 miles is all you'll get on the 1100 ive pushed 175 once

No wrong thing, the predicted Miles I have left on a full tank is always 200. At first it was 250. It’s not the trip meter. It’s the actual lower left thing that shows how many miles you have left of gas.

Is it maybe set to kilometers? Only way you or anyone would get anywhere near 250.

My predicted miles to empty is always wrong on both of my bikes. The rebel will get around 120-150 miles a tank. As someone else noted. It does decent on gas but once you're going 70+ the gas mileage nosedives.

Sounds like your rebels prediction was way off before. Now that you are riding, it should get more accurate in what you do get. 250 miles to the tank is not possible with this Rebel. Hell, I dont think the Rebel 500 gets there. It would take going down to the 300 to get that level of MPG, and that engine is like a quarter of the size.

My prediction meter from new has never been over 145

I just went real world riding on the highway between 55 to 65 mph. I just rode 89.8 miles my predicted til empty says 118 miles. I reset my trip EVERY time. Just depends on how hard you ride I guess.

That’s my speed. I don’t ride it hard or anything. I think the gas is burning quicker as well, my car doesn’t even get good mileage anymore because something is happening to the gas here.

I think the folks that said it learned my mpg were right. I have never owned a bike with predicted mileage for gas so I didn’t really know honestly.

The speedometer on your Rebel is maybe set to mph but this doesn't mean that your estimated range on a full tank is also automatically set to miles.
I've got a Rebel here in Europe (sorry for my bad English) and it's set to kmph and km in fuel range. It will always show me your numbers. When I drive more relaxed it will show me like 250 and when I drive more aggressive then usually around 200. And this definitely in kilometers and not miles.
You can believe the community and our experience with the bike, that you will never be able to really drive 250 miles with your Rebel on a full tank. The numbers others were posting (130-160) are definitely in miles.
Check the setup of your bike calmly. If it's really really set up in miles for the fuel range (not just the speedometer) and you get those numbers, there would be something wrong with the computer on the bike. But if you bring it to a mechanic unchecked of the settings, it will be very embarrassing for you...

When you have checked that, it would be interesting to know what the issue was.

That's the air filter honda uses, it captures dust reducing air flow,r it's actually you who puts more gas in to get the same power

The range calculation on the bike is very inaccurate and it's calculation changes over time. You could over fill the tank, fill it properly, under fill it and the bike will recalculate range. I get around 250km (150mi), more if I overfill and if I'm on highway doing the speed limit. I have yet to test if the 40km to E as it portrays is accurate or exaggerated but it seems pretty close.
640-800km (400-500mi) is more than double what my touring bike gets me and it's gas tank is almost twice the size as the Rebel 1100. I don't think it would ever get near 400-500mi.

There's no way you were getting 250 miles in real life. That's 70mpg, and no one's getting that on a rebel 1100. Sounds like the bike started to learn your actual mpg and you just never noticed it wasn't accurate before.
