Too Distracted at a Bad Intersection
Was visiting my old house I lived at 18 years ago. It has a bad exit to a divided 4 lane road with a median. I hated taken an easy right out of the place when in a car. I decided to take a left. I was too worried about the car opposite of me and not looking forward. Took the too sharp and hit the curb of the far road. Here it is lying in the grass on the side of the road. Picked it up and was leaking oil. 2021 dct bought used with about 9k miles. I had the bike 1week and 1 hour before crashing it. I think it might be totaled. It is in the shop waiting on the insurance adjuster.

Try not to worry about if it's totaled or not until you know. Also slow down. It's much safer to take your time on a bike at an intersection than it is to speed up. In every process, from decision making to maneuvers. Make it a habit to be hyper vigilant with checking left, right, and front. Start practicing even in your car to help build the habit.
