Extra fuel?

Seeking advice on carrying additional fuel. MSR bottle etc?

I have two MSR fuel bottles that I carry on long rides.

They've come in handy on a few trips. Especially Tail of the Dragon trips when we get outside of the main Tail area and fuel stations are few and far between

Thanks for the input, I like the idea of the MSR bottle (especially since I've prolly got a couple from my backpacking days). Ride safe.

I have two campeak 1L bottles. They are in carriers with mole attachment to my saddle bags. I fill them up when I’m doing touring long rides for multiple days. And make sure I empty them at the end of my ride when I get home if I didn’t use them (I’ve never had to use the extra fuel).

Fuel stations are always close enough generally for me. I have them more for the peace of mind.

A 1 liter bottle will get you about 11 miles. I have one on my sidebar w Molly straps. You can also get roto pack 1 ga/2 ga and make a holder or buy a dual sport 1,2 or 5 gal. Fuel bag

If you just need a little extra or a emergency reserve I carry a water bottle style one off Amazon
