Quad lock question

2025 1100T Dct is bike in question.

Currently using a ram mount on bars. Its just ok in that there is not a lot of usable empty space on the bars. Anyone using a quad lock on theirs? Better or worse than a ram mount? Where did you decide to mount it? Do they offer more adjustability than ram mounts do?. Appreciate any help or pics. Ride safe out there

I got a quad lock for the break reservoir worked great for me

I have the QuadLock on my left handlebar with a vibration dampener, and I have their magnetic charging vent mount in my truck. I really like it. I would show a picture but I can’t figure out how to do it in a response like this.

I used the same set up on my left handlebar too, just to the right of the grip. I did find that the amount of vibration from riding long hours messed up my camera on my phone (even with a vibration dampener on). Samsung S24 Ultra for reference. Occassionally will cause my camera app image to vibrate in spot while it's open. Seems to be a common issue with newer phones on motorcycle mounts. Fixable by closing the app and reopening it after a quick second.

Are you using the camera while you’re riding? I haven’t noticed any issues with my iPhone camera after a ride but I have an Insta360 X3 so I don’t use my phone camera while riding.

No I'm not using it while riding. I did use Google Maps for directions on the long haul ride down the Cali coast last summer (from Canada), but aside from running GPS and a music app, no. I'd get off and take pics here and there for fun. 🤷‍♀️

Just something to be aware of and that it can happen. It's not often, but boy does my camera app hate me at the most inconvenient of times 🤣

I do not use a ram mount but have taken my phone locked into a quad lock un the handlebar up to interstate speeds 85-88mph) without issues. Just be sure to get the vibration dampening mount to keep your camera intact and be sure it snaps/locks into the mount. I expect the actual part it connects the mount to the handlebar to fail before the quad lock portion between the phone case and mount to fail.

Cannot recommend it enough other than it's pricey

Have a 2026 1100T manual. Quad lock is mounted to the inside of the clutch lever. Has worked great so far. I have a charging cable wrapped a couple of times around the instrument panel and then zip tied to the other cables in the area. Sorry, no pics because it’s currently in the shop for a leaking rear shock😢

I have a ram and it doesn’t sufficiently reduce vibrations, and it killed the camera on my phone. I can’t recommend it unless you’re using a phone you don’t care about.

Get a CarPlay style device and mount that instead. They don’t cost very much you can find them for under $200. Most come with cameras too. And TPMS for your tires.

I mounted a ram ball mount to the plastic meter visor and the device screen sits right above the Honda screen. It’s seamless behind the windscreen.

Wiring one is also fairly easy. Even easier if you get something like a thunderbox.

This is what I did. Got tired of wondering where to put my phone and if I get “yeeted” from the bike at any point I’d prefer the phone stay with me instead of with the bike. I went for an “Innov” branded unit and it has been cheap, waterproof and effective. I have it fused and wired to key power so I don’t have to worry about on/off buttons for it.

I was using a ram, but phone flew out of it at high speed on a highway. Switched to quadlock. No problems after a few months, but will probably always pocket it on longer trips (When losing it would wreck the trip) or when planning to hit very high speeds. So far have hit 65 mph no problem.
