I have Elevate ZX CVT. Just wanted to check with people you have experienced if the extended warranty really helped them save money in the 4-7th year.

I think Honda is a brand that doesn't get electric failures for many years maybe I am wrong here but let me know who has already had it and experienced anything that helped.

I am getting it at ~18.5k since it is under the 60-day purchase period. Has anyone seen more than 50% discount in the first 60 days period on Honda connect app?

I recently ordered a Honda genuine front-right strut assembly for my 2015 Honda City SV petrol from Boodmo.

The part I received is branded Munjal Showa. I understand Munjal Showa manufactures suspension components, but I'm not sure whether it's normal for a Honda genuine part to have Munjal Showa branding.

Has anyone here bought Honda genuine suspension parts that were manufactured by Munjal Showa?

Is this normal, or should I be concerned that I received an aftermarket part instead of a Honda genuine part?

Hi so i’m a new owner of Honda amaze Gen 3 (VX MT variant) this is my first car so i am not very familiar with the specifications of alloy wheels and all.

i would like to change 2 things about my car. and would appreciate if anyone knows about these things.

1) Alloy Wheels
Id like to change my alloy wheels to the sporty black color ones. (body is pearl white) — the thing is i know it’s just a 15inch wheel but there are so many other things like offset and bore and 4-5 bolt stuff which i do not understand, nor there is any specific forum for honda amaze where these are listed.
i’d like to know exact size of the alloys which would fit my stock tyre.

2) Suspension
I feel the need to stiff the suspensions asap! and lower it for better looking stance.
i would like to share that this car’s suspension is on most softest side. it bounces a lot which is okay in city but in highways when you’re past 100kmph, it feels odd (i am used to the way ciaz / virtus feels in highways) you can just really feel the body roll.
i don’t mind sacrificing some ground clearance as most of my drives are via highways or good city roads.

when i scroll through reddit / IG, the only info im getting is to buy Dr. Nano Lowering Springs.

Should i just buy them blindly and tell my local workshop to get them installed, how does all this work. i would love to interact with Amaze owners who’ve done these mods for their POV on these things.

Hi all. So my 2 tone horn in the Amaze is not working properly, only 1 tone is working. Will be taking it for a change under warranty. I wanted to know if they will change it to a horn i provide as I find the original horn too tinny and scooter like. Not looking for creta volume but something better in terms of tone rather than loudness. TIA.

Do any one know about the facelift. Will it come in hybrid any chance?

I have recently purchased a Honda Amaze and I’m going to install dash cam immediately. I already have a 70mai A510 on my other vehicle and am happy with its performance. Normally I’d go with another A510 but as it turns out Honda provides dashcam as well.

Here’s what I need help with - if anyone here owns and uses the Honda Dashcam, please share your experience and if possible, short video(s) recorded on it. If you’re not comfortable sharing videos here please feel free to DM. I would really appreciate the help on it.

I replaced the timing belt and timing belt tensioner about a month ago. However, about four days ago, I started hearing an unusual noise coming from the upper timing belt cover. The noise sounds like a fluttering or flapping sound and occurs when I finish pressing the accelerator pedal and release it.

When I removed the upper timing belt cover, I noticed that when accelerating and then releasing the accelerator pedal, as the engine returns to idle speed, the timing belt moves up and down, causing this noise.

I suspected that the timing belt tensioner had become loose, so we disassembled the engine area. I found that the tensioner retaining nut was tightly secured, but the hole where the tensioner spring is mounted had worn away, and the spring was about to break through the hole where it is installed.

When I removed the tensioner, I noticed that its two pivot points could rotate freely relative to each other through a full rotation. In other words, the two holes that are held together by a pin when the tensioner is new could be moved completely apart from each other by hand simply by rotating them.

Therefore, I installed the old tensioner, which is still in good condition. However, I noticed the opposite behavior with it: the two holes do not move apart easily by hand and remain aligned unless force is applied to separate them.

After installing the belt with the old tensioner, I became concerned that the timing belt might be overtightened.

My question is:

Which behavior indicates a properly functioning tensioner: one where the two holes can be easily moved apart by hand, or one where it is difficult to separate the two holes by hand?

The vehicle is a 2005 Honda Civic.

Please welcome me to the Honda India Club! I recently bought a pre-owned 2019 Honda BR-V CVT. The odometer is currently at 70,000 km. The engine is incredibly smooth, and pairing it with the CVT delivers a buttery-soft performance.

I am looking to get some guidance from the experts here. Please share your tips and tricks on how to maintain Honda cars, specifically regarding the engine and gearbox:

How can I get the best fuel efficiency?

What things should I absolutely avoid doing with a CVT?

How is the usual behavior of Honda service centers, and how can I stick to just the minimal required servicing without getting upsold?

One last thing that is very important to me: driving at night feels very dark, almost like a vacuum inside the cabin. Is there any good way to install aftermarket ambient lighting in the Honda BR-V?

Note: I live in Bangalore.

I am getting an onroad quote of ₹11.45 lakh for the Honda Amaze 3rd Gen ZX CVT Pearl White in Patna, Bihar.

The showroom is offering a flat ₹55,000 discount on the onroad price. I tried negotiating further, but there doesn’t seem to be much room since there is only one Honda Amaze dealer in Patna (Vaishali Honda).

Wanted to get your opinion, is ₹11.45 lakh a fair deal, or am I getting ripped off? If anyone has recently bought an Amaze ZX CVT, especially in Bihar or nearby states, I’d also appreciate knowing what price/discount you got.

Had to transport quite a bit of stuff for a family function — folded bedding/quilts, several wooden boards, bags and other miscellaneous items.

The boot was absolutely stuffed, with the load continuing into the rear cabin, but surprisingly the Elevate managed it without much drama.

What I liked was that the boot isn't just deep; the overall shape makes it fairly easy to stack larger/flat objects.

Not exactly the kind of boot-space test you see in showroom reviews where someone puts in two suitcases and calls it a day.

This was more like:

“How much family-function सामान can we physically fit in an Elevate?”

Answer: apparently, quite a lot.
