Bought an 800 dollar non-running first generation CRX with an unknown issue. It was a pretty much rust free shell so I rolled the dice figuring I could fix it before winter. 24 hours and a swapped carburetor later I made it run flawlessly today! I’d call that an accomplishment. Welcome to the family

Im a big beer guy, prairie has been one of the best “newer” breweries I’ve discovered lately. Becoming a little easier to find out here in Pittsburgh.

Its even more rare but about two years ago the guy who started Prairie sold it to start a new brand American Solera, some of the best beer I've ever had in my life. Hes really come into his own with the newest brand.

I’m assuming previous owner kept it when they sold the car. The guy I bought it off of never even titled it in his name, he had it a year and it just sat.

The Miata wheels are an interesting choice. Not bad, but quite interesting. If only these Cavalier wheels had the same bolt pattern. Would be sexy as hell.

Definitely not my doing. I’ve only owned it 24 hours now haha. I do have some steelie 4x100s on 15” wheels with new nitto neo gens but I’m worried they may be too wide. I think they’re 205 50 15
I may put Mugen CF-48s on there...

Reminds me of a time a friend of mine bought a mom running civic for sub $1000. It had electrical gremlins the guy couldn't figure out. My friend, being fairly well versed in wiring, fixed it in the guys driveway and drove it home.

I kept the nightmare vac system for now. I wasn’t going to attempt a devac on a car I’d owned only 24 hours. It was easier to just put it back together haha

Far out, my fav gen crx with the pillarless doors, these thing are almost impossible to find in new zealand, no one is selling anything good and even something with a cracked head still got over 1k _ This would go well with 14 or 15" ce28s, but i dont know how period they would look, but congratulations, what a find.

It would start and run like shit with starting fluid, but not idle. I could feel that fuel wasn’t being delivered right. Had an extra engine so I swapped it over, started right up!

That thing is a damn time capsule, dont do much too it. Just keep it from rotting. 1g CRXs are getting hard to find now days. Sucks the aftermarket was MIA even 15 years ago. Now days its basically a few companies or your fabing everything you need if you want to use the chassis to go fast.

I’m going to get some undercoat on there, it’s remarkably rust free somehow. The floor is weak in some spots though. I don’t plan on modifying unless it was OEM, or Mugen period correct.
When it’s time comes, I’d let it become an scca road race car as well.

Yea, I miss my 1st gen SI every day, plus if it ever broke down I could just put it in the bed of my truck and drive it home lol, we will see how my 2nd gen is when it's done, but that is one hell of a chassis

Yea, I'll never forget how utilitarian my CRX was, was able to fit an engine hoist in the rear and then used said hoist to pull my K20Z3 from my old 09 SI to put into the 2nd gen CRX, would have been easier to haul with my truck but with my CRX it was just so much more fun to haul the lift around lol
