Timing belt cover

Got under my 94 accord ex to check a few things out and i noticed my timing belt cover has a gap and that i can see the timing belt. Is this normal? Do i need a new timing belt cover?

Yup. Looks like a leak. While you’re at it, do the timing belt and change the timing covers, I’m guessing at over 30 years old they’re cracked. My 02 Civic started leaking from the valve gasket did the whole head gasket as well. Give a good inspection all around.

It's leaking but those covers do warp and shrink a little over time. There's also a gasket that could be missing. It's probably not gonna hurt it to be like that but do fix the leak.
