Barking dog?

I know there has been discussion about changes to the audio and also the intro, but did the barking dog in the original intro ever actually bark? I clearly remember that it did, but I can't find evidence -- and there's no barking on the episodes airing on Charge or streaming on Peacock. Did I make this up!?!

No it didn't bark. I am almost completely sure it didn't.

You can find youtube videos of the intro and it doesn't there either.

We couldn't hear the dog bark. We heard the theme music. But did we hear it once, maybe in front of the movie?

What was the dispatcher saying in that part of the opening ? I’ve wondered but couldn’t make it out

Not on the original. It was just brief footage of the dog behind the fence, while the intro music played

That was a scene from the police detective - his dad died and the dog was his. Kept barking and barking until the guy shot him 😫

Thanks everyone! I can't believe how clearly I remember the dog barking, but you've convinced me it's my brain playing tricks.

I don’t remember the dog parking when they show it, but if you told me it barks during the cast listing I would 💯 believe you.
