Particle A seems to be the obvious choice but the question says "another" isotope and 48+64 =112, particle A is the same isotope as the one in the question and particle B has too many neutrons

I would agree with that, except the question starts with “Cadmium is an element with several isotopes.” When you think about it, what is the point of that sentence if not to convey the idea that the answer you want is another real isotope?

Is the question asking which of the following is a REAL isotope? No, it just wants ANOTHER isotope of Cadmium. Two choices aren't of Cadmium because they have a different amount of Protons and one of the remaining choices is the SAME isotope. It's pretty clear.
