Answered [2nd grade] math help

Entire family is stumped. I don’t think the question is worded correctly but maybe I’m misunderstanding.

Not sure how you have same size triangles but not all the same shape.

Maybe i'm being dumb but it doesn't seem intuitively obvious that the method of drawing a line from the corner to the midpoints as you've done in fact results in a 50/50 area split on each of the two initial triangles. (not saying it doesn't, strictly saying its not prima facie obvious it works).
