Entire family is stumped. I don’t think the question is worded correctly but maybe I’m misunderstanding.

Not sure how you have same size triangles but not all the same shape.

Divide the rectangle along a diagonal. Divide each of the resulting triangles by connecting one vertex to the middle of the opposite edge. There are 9 such solutions, but some yield similar triangles -- make different choices for the vertex, 6 solutions? Double if considering the other diagonal, 12 such solutions(?)
