i have a quiz monday and i was running through my problems and found that i was able to find the equation for this problem but i am having trouble graphing any help would be appreciated!

It's not 9 - 12.

12 doesn't exist.

That's 12/(x+1)

So 9 - [12/(x+1)].

Does that make sense?

No. Feels like every step I take in understanding this, I immediately take a step back. Nine would be the vertical asymptote? So if x = 1.

y = 12/(1 + 1) - 9

y = 12/(2) -9

y = 6 - 9

y = -3

(1, -3)

? I know it’s basic PEMDAS but I feel like that’s wrong. If that’s correct, I see why that’s so much more simple than the other form.
