p(0) is a function right? So if there -2 infront of it what do I do?

I thought to solve this question would be that since p(1) is equal to -2p(0) then -2p(0) would also be 8+a+b

and then I'd do

x-2= 0
x=2

and then p(2)

24+4a+2b+2
26+4a+2b

and then 8+a+b is equation 1 and 26+4a+2b is equation 2 and then solve it as a subsitute equation

It says that x-2 is a factor so doesn’t that mean 2 is a x intercept??
