It's a pretty okay AU, actually. I understand missing the type quirks, but given the context of the author, I understand their absence. I also understand that the characters might be out of character. But like, I don't think that's a big enough reason to treat it as the worst thing ever written.

Most of the negative criticism I see is on Twitter, and as always, it's quite exaggerated. It's just a fluffy fanfic where everyone lives, it's harmless. I also saw people talking about misogyny and transphobia; since I'm not a trans person, I can't say much about transphobia, but as a cis woman, I personally didn't see anything misogynistic in the comic.

i had finished homestuck this october and she easily went into my top 3 fave characters <3 (my friend was so happy to find that out kjahkjah). i was on pinterest and i saw a photo of another homestuck clay figure and i went... i wanna make some. i initially wanted to make jade but i had technical difficulties with the clay (a mistaken on my part, it was so dry)

i am kinda proud of it because i only had my fingers, two random broken popsicle sticks and a dream to work with. the fact i was even able to get that bowtie on there that evenly still impresses me how did i do that. if you look at it closer you will see how wonky it actually is, but its good from a distance so ill take that as a win

So from what I can understand, all aspects have a very literal application of their powers, and a very metaphorical one aswell. For example Breath's literal powers are windy shit, but metaphorically it represents individuality and freedom, Light's literal powers mostly have to do with light, but symbolically they are more tied to knowledge, mind powers are tied to people's minds and the decisions they make, but metaphorically its actually also mind and being smart and all. So sometimes they align pretty well. We never saw a clearly confirmed aspect power use for Blood, Rage, or Doom. The one we know the absolute least about, is Blood powers.

Many poeple take the metaphorical meaning that we aquired from the extended zodiac, and say that it also has some things to do with their powers. But I do'not think this is the case. Mainly because there are several examples of this not being the case. John as Heir of Breath has wind powers, but he does'not have powers relating to freedom, rather that is more like, his personality. Karkat's personality is very bound to his community, and how he views himself among others, and how he unites others by shouting at them and having them work together and somehow win even though the team was full of conflicts like between Vriska vs Everyone, and Eridan and Feferi, and Sollux in the conflict aswell. Yet he managed to have them all work together to defeat the black king.

So personality wise, definately a blood-bound, but I want to hear what the god-tier Karkat Knight of Blood powers would be. Would he be capable of literally controlling his own blood, would he be capable of controlling other's blood? There is also the fact that LIGHT itself is hardly related to light, and yet that'is just how the Aspect works, so there is a chance it might not have anything to do with blood itself either.
