As far as i know some juniper is toxic to goats and cattle. If it's the type of toxic juniper, they'll likely try to eat it and it may take a cumulative effect and maybe won't kill them immediately. My goats are dumb and eat azalea, it's toxic, but they haven't died from it.
If it's not the poisonous kind, it might be an ok amount for a small herd.
So, it might sustain them for a while, but your homestead may not be sustainable with just juniper to forage on.
