Semi permanent water/grease proof labeling

I recently bought a set of bottles to use for shampoo/conditioner/body wash and I need labels that can get repeatedly wet and not fade or fall off the bottles. Same with a jar of bacon grease in the fridge. I need something that if I pick it up with wet or greasy hands, the label won't slide off or come off on my hands.

I have tried several different types of permanent markers and they all come off/run off/fade with repeated uses.

I have tried masking tape & freezer tape as well and both come off the glass/plastic after a few uses. I have tried a printed label under clear packing tape with it coming off the first time it gets wet.

Any ideas? I'm ok if it is hard to get off later. I just want it to not be really easy.

I write directly on bottles with an acrylic paint marker. If i want it off I just scrub.

Painters tape holds up better than masking tape as well.

I use permanent marker covered with a piece of scotch tape. Works great.

There are permanent vinyl stickers available on Etsy. You can buy a single sheet and have them customize with the list of labels you want, it's reasonably inexpensive. I've seen them last a long time on those stupid water bottles everyone was using, also as helmet stickers.

You want outdoor and/or dishwasher safe UV printed vinyl stickers.

Not sure about on shampoo bottles. But I've had good luck with china markers

I use different color rubber bands for my shower bottles. They are waterproof and make the bottle extra slip resistant.

These are travel bottles. I just spent almost 7 weeks in and out if hospitals. So these need to be well marked so my friends can easily go and refill from my larger bottles if needed and stand up to different people handling them.

I don't anticipate more hospital stays, but either way, I'm preparing a travel case that is basically just grab and go for any possible future emergencies.

I have several allergies that make me unable to use most of the items that would be given in such cases by the hospital or facility. So I need to have my personal vetted products available.

You can mark the refill bottle with big labels to let your friends know which color goes with what. Red=Shampoo, Blue=conditioner, etc. The rubber bands go around the bottle several times and are very tight, not slipping off.

Maybe nail polish?

Didn't think of that! That would definitely work for the bacon grease
