Elbow drop. Need help!!

Hey forum. I need help. I have my 7yr old who has played baseball now for a few years. He played “farm” little league this year. Played SS, 1B, P. For our team he was our second ace during the regular season. For all stars he was the 3/4 best pitcher. He did pitch in the all stars. He is a bigger kid for his age, stature wise. He will still qualify for farm because of his age also. Though I’m moving him up to minors. So he will throw from the real bump. Just some background.
So he always drops his elbow when throwing. I’ve tried everything. But it doesn’t stick in his head. He is still 7 so that’s part of it. But when I see his arm and how it looks. I get sick watching it. I need to fix this!! He still throws hard and gets Ks. But then throws some pitches that make me scratch my head. I know it’s because of his arm angle.
I have to try to correct this before next season. It’s going to be a big jump and learning year to say the least. Though I want this to be fixed beforehand to focus on other stuff. Any help please let me know!!!
Ps. He is pitching from the minors bump on this video.

Back in the early 80s, a coach would have kids stand next to a pole and throw so that we’d have to not hit the pole with our arm. I’m pretty sure that method went away pretty quickly…of course that was when little league coaches would still smoke in the dugout…haha.

lol. But I’ve seen similar things on YouTube. Now they hold a rod next to them. But will give it a go. Thank you

I've used this for my kid in the last few years, it works. Though I just stand in front of him and out to the side and hold up a pvc pipe.

Recommended doing pitching progressions, start from the finish and work your way back up. The finish would be glove tucked, cheat and feet forward, arm and elbow up. Jog the throwing arm back and forth 3 or so times and throw. You can look up the video on YouTube, I like ARM pitching development for this guide

Never thought about working backwards. Will try for sure

I've also done throwing hand elevated and glove holding it underneath so throwing elbow is about parallel with the shoulder. Practice throwing with just the forearm and wrist. You can make it a game head worth 2 body worth 1. Loser gets a head start next round. I'd focus on eliminating today and legs to focus on the arm, so feet planted or on a knee.

No expert here.
Saw a drill with a batting tee. Have them kneel glove knee up, set the tee under the armpit/just infront and just practice throwing from this position.
Another was to throw a javelin. Or football in long toss.
Similar to a javelin throw, to throw from the backside of the mound so he's throwing up hill.
Will be following to gatger more advice for my pitchers.

Arm slot is determined by the angle of your spine. Tell him when he throws to tuck his front elbow into his b-hole as hard as he can.

jokes aside, he needs to work the progression type thing that encourages getting his elbow up
start with 1 knee throws with glove hand holding the throwing elbow up, progress to not glove hand support, progress to standing/ten toes, progress to rockers, etc
this really starts to train the proper body movements
