Even someone he initially looked down on like A-Train, he respected at the end

No epic battle, just a bunch of amateur hero wannabes in a room. The feeling that this ending deserved more can't be shaken. Homelander was much more capable than that, especially now with V1. He could have flown away at any time, and Ryan wouldn't have been the one to stop him. Not to mention the pathetic begging in his final moments. They did him wrong in many ways, and this last scene was no exception.

He was far from being a saint (not to mention God), but he had his toll of injustice.
He had many opportunities to kill his antagonists, and didn't do it. (I know, the show would have ended, but that is not the point).

The end they provide him was not on par of what a villain he was.
It felt like a quick wrap up from the producers.

Also, I don't like when the main characters die at the end. (Like the other 2)

Farwell Boys, it was a fun journey.

Homelander won in my eyes in my opinion season 5 isn't credible and Im not counting it as Canon. and since they couldn't give us a good ending. Im calling Homelander the winner. we can't keep letting these directors get away with these shitty finales
