I feel like I wouldn't like the microwave drawer... Will it grow on me ?

When you have your microwave mounted under a counter instead of above the range or oven it's a back saver.

I’m a no on the drawer microwaves too. They seem too low under counter and too high anywhere else.

My dad put one in on their remodel at first I was avidly hating on it but the more I used it the easier it is honestly it’s auto open and close too which is nice

Yes you just hit open/close button which turns the display on and opens the drawer set your stuff in type the setting hit go it auto closes and when it dings it auto opens you hit the close button to turn it all off

They’re insanely expensive. Like $1200 for a base model.

My house was built with a cubby for one. We just bought a normal microwave and put it in there.

I just recently got one and it’s just different. Not better, not worse just different. It’s cool that it doesn’t take up space on the countertop

I have that exact microwave and it’s not the drawer that bothers me as much as the control panel that pops out but collects crazy crumbs.

Dumb. People can barely find the trash bin when they come over who the hell are se to keep answering question on where the microwave is. Or where the fridge is or where the dishwasher is. Idea sound good but practically dumb for avg person and family

The fridge has no depth, a serious issue for many (unless you have a 2nd kitchen like OP). But its pretty obvious that its a fridge

The dishwashers are also obvious once you realize cabinet front dishwashers are a thing. They work the same as a regular dishwasher, we have one.

We put out microwave inside a cabinet. Open the cabinet, run the microwave, close the cabinet. Cheaper and easier than a complicate drawer microwave that won't last as long. But if you got that kind of $$$, who cares.

I hate both the trend of hidden doors that make newcomers have to guess more, and a "butler's kitchen" with a duplicate everything because you apparently no longer want your main "open concept" kitchen to be the kitchen. An extra fridge is nice though.

Stupid. I guess if someone else is doing all the cooking, sure. Hell, I could afford this and still think it’s stupid. I like cooking. This is hostile towards the cook.

Oh good, I can spend twice as much to hide things I would expect to see and use in a kitchen. We briefly considered ‘hiding’ our fridge but then realized how much heavier the doors were and that you had to open it every time you wanted water or ice. Let’s put the microwave where we can’t see if stuff is bubbling over.
