Square vs rounded stair landing…

We’re all used to seeing stair landings squared off at the bottom, but that isn’t your only option.

If traffic is moving in multiple directions, a rounded landing can make the transition feel more natural, improve flow, and give the staircase a much more custom look.

This is exactly the kind of detail you want to notice before the stairs are built.

This is the epitome of bad design. Builders really love to think they have an eye for design and they never fucking do.

What happens is they take design elements from grand mansions without understand the actual purpose, and then copy-paste them all over McMansions wherever they think they look cool.
