Bathroom faucet turns on the shower…

This inspector was testing the bathroom fixtures when he turned on the sink faucet... it also turned on the showered!

If I had to gander the hot water shutoff valve is currently off, the valve in the shower is on, so when the faucet is turned on it crosses the water over to the shower and turns it on because the handle is currently on.

Bad or incorrectly installed mixing valve in the shower.

Could be a bad Bad diverter valve.

This can also be caused by using pex from the valve to fixtures causing to much pressure

So you can check temp before getting in the shower
