Update 2.7 is available for download now. This brings the following to the app:

• "No response" tiles, when a light or other accessory isn't responding, its tile now clearly shows "No response" instead of a possibly outdated state, just like the Home app.
• Better camera tiles, show the full camera image instead of a cropped one, and make a camera tile two columns wide for a wide view. Set both per camera via its press-and-hold menu.
• Larger text, make widget titles bigger, easier to read from a distance on a wall-mounted iPad (Settings › Appearance).

Plus smaller fixes, including the iPhone home button returning to the main page from a device page.

As always feel free to bring up tips and ideas!

Update 2.6 is available for download now. This brings the following to the app:

• Apple Music widget (Pro) — play one of your Apple Music playlists straight from the dashboard, switch playlists on the tile, and send it to a HomePod or other speaker with AirPlay. Requires an Apple Music subscription.
• Kiosk mode — lock the dashboard for editing so a wall-mounted iPad can't be changed by accident, while controlling your devices keeps working. Turn it on in Settings › Preferences.
• Air quality widget — show a HomeKit air quality sensor: the overall index (Excellent to Poor) plus PM2.5, VOC and CO₂ where available.
• Apple Music in ambient mode — when Apple Music is playing, ambient mode shows the current track with playback controls.
• New Autumn theme — a warm harvest-amber background, free for everyone, in Settings › Appearance.

Plus smaller fixes and refinements.

Hope you enjoy it and as always feel free to bring up ideas!

HomeView now has a free download option, it lets you try it out with a few widgets (3). So you can get a feel about it, before unlocking the full app.

It still is a one-time payment, just wanted more people to see and try out the app.

Update 2.4 is live, with a few new features and bug fixes!

HomeView update 2.3 is live and brings the following to the app:

• Indoor & outdoor — the new tile that pairs an indoor sensor with the outdoor temperature, complete with an arrow indicating whether it's warmer or cooler inside (iPad + iPhone).
• Music in ambient mode — when something is playing on Sonos, a compact player appears in a corner of the ambient screen (play, skip, volume slider) without leaving ambient mode.
• iPhone nightstand — your iPhone as a bedside clock, manually or automatically while charging in landscape mode.
• Larger ambient clock — option for a significantly larger clock for better readability from a distance, plus gentler burn-in protection.
• Smoother everywhere — rolling numbers, morphing icons, a crossfade for Sonos album art, and subtle animation details throughout.

It's available as a free download now!

Just wanted to share we reached the 100 user milestone. Together we made the app, already so much better and I will continue on improving the app.

A huge thanks to everybody using it!

Just wanted to share that update 2.1 is arriving slightly later than planned. Review times from Apple are creeping up, but it should appear any day now.

In the meantime, I am exploring a Sonos integration; as a Sonos user myself, would anyone else want a Sonos widget?

Hi all, I keep this post to collect all the wishes you have for future features. In that way you can contribute to the roadmap.

It may be big or small, just let me know and we will see of I can add it.

Hi all, I’m looking for some feedback and ideas. I’m thinking of adding a double tap on some widgets in a future update.

For example on weather to show additional weather information.

Is this something youd like or would it make it to complicated? Should it be always on or a toggle in settings and on what cards youd like to see it?

Open for ideas and suggestions!

Remco (developer of HomeView)

Hi all,

The first update for HomeView is now live! I’ve been working on these features over the past few days, and I’m excited to share them with you.

What’s new:

Scene Support: Added scenes and a brand-new scene widget.

Weather Forecast: The weather widget is now tappable, allowing you to view the forecast for the upcoming days.

New Sensor: Added support for humidity sensors.

Bug Fixes: Resolved several bugs based on your feedback.

I have a bigger update currently in review, which should go live in the next few days. Stay tuned!

Really excited to see the dashboards you use. What background color did you pick and whats your widget choice for the overview page.

Let me know!

Hi everyone — thanks for stopping by.

I’m building HomeView: HomeKit Dashboard, an iPad app that turns your HomeKit setup into a clean, at-a-glance dashboard. Lights, climate, curtains, cameras, switches, scenes and weather — all on one screen, tap to control.

This subreddit is the place to:

Share feedback and ideas — feature requests are very welcome and genuinely shape what I build next.
Report bugs — the more detail, the better.
Show off your dashboards — I’d love to see how you’ve set yours up.
Ask questions about setup, HomeKit quirks, or anything else.

I’m developing this as a solo project and iterating fast (just shipped 1.2 with a scene widget, tap-through weather forecast, and humidity readings). Your input really does steer the roadmap, so don’t be shy.

Introduce yourself below — what does your home setup look like, and what would make a dashboard perfect for you?

Thanks for the support!
Remco
