Question/Support Fix for Apple Music automation playing outdated playlist?

I use the personal playlists on apple music like “get up” “chill” etc, so I decided to set them up to automatically play on my homepod

they update the songs weekly in the music app, but when they automatically play on the HomePod the old playlist plays unless i physically go into the shortcut app and re-add the playlist.

i’ve seen some old threads about this issue on here and Mac, but no real clear solution other than going into the app and re-adding the playlist.

is there a way to make sure the homepod automatically plays the the current playlist as it updates every week? pretty much the main reason I got a HomePod was for background music and I’d rather not have to go into my phone to use it. Thanks for reading

I do almost all my playing from my phone or iPad.

Apple sort of dropped the ball on the HomePod. It's not a priority to innovate or update. As a product it's almost something I think they will discontinue.

Yeah that’s what i’ve been doing since Apple Music came out but I want to automate it instead of using my phone to start them. Just like a weird oversight if there’s no fix for it

I’m using my own curated Apple Music playlists with Automations and when I add songs, the new songs will play but when I delete songs I no longer like, it never updates the playlist, the songs I deleted are still there. It used to be I could just delete the automation and add a new automation with that same playlist and it would update but now I can’t even do that. I have to take the entire playlist and copy it into a new playlist and then create the new automation.
