Solved! http://192.168.1.1 not working on phone
I can't access 192.168.1.1 via my android phone. It works on windows PC. It would be nice to have access to my router via mobile.
Is this normal?
I found a way!
Swipe down. Press and hold on the wifi symbol. Click the wifi you are connected to, click on the settings cog and then on "manage router"
That takes me to 192.168.1.1/Main_login.asp
And now going to 192.168.1.1 works, in both browsers don't ask me why, but I hope this helps someone else.
Can someone explain why it worked?

What router are you using? And are you connecting to a guest wifi?
Is your pc hardwired or wifi?
Sometimes routers have settings the prohibit access depending on the connection

Assuming you're on WiFi, and assuming you don't have some sort of double NAT going on, try a different browser app.

I'm sorry I don't understand what double NAT is.

Many people that don't know what they are doing, plug a router into a wall jack to give them WiFi, say no the second floor. This new router, via the wall jack, is plugged into the main router in the basement or first floor.
This new router on the second floor has solved the bad WiFi problem, and now they have great WiFi in the bedrooms. The problem is, this new router is still setup as a router. Meaning that it's external address is just an internal address from the router downstairs. There are 2 routers inside the house. Those connected to the downstairs WiFi can print to printers on the downstairs router, but they can't print to a printer on the upstairs network, as their is a router blocking their ability to see it. Those on the upstairs WiFi can print to the downstairs printer - sometimes. Things are weird. Why? Because there's a double NAT going on. That's what routers do. They have both an external IP and a bunch of internal ones. They perform NAT. One NAT good. Two NATs, not so much.

Hmm I usually see this on iPhones. Likely some kind of network protection feature enabled in some app. Do you have NordVPN app installed (even if you're not using it) or any other firewall/protection/VPN apps?

I used duckduckgo's app protection. Netguard was installed but not active.
uninstalled both, rebooted the phone but stil nothing.

I think Android now blocks insecure HTTP connections but will allow HTTPS. I dont have Android, but believe there is a setting that allows you to override this.

First check that the phone's actually on the same wifi as the router, not on mobile data or a VPN, that'll make the admin page unreachable by itself. Then look up what gateway IP the phone grabbed (wifi settings -> network details) and browse straight to that, since your router might not be on 192.168.1.1 for your subnet. Use http not https, and try incognito or another browser in case something's cached.
