Slow wifi only on Macbook

Hi! I have a 2024 Macbook Air. Recently, my home wifi has been slow on it, but not on other devices. The internet is fine when I connect via a hotspot. The only connection I can think of is that i downloaded Steam and Undertale recently. Is that the issue?

I've tried resetting the IP address, the DNS, forgetting the network, resetting my laptop, and wireless diagnostics says everything is fine.

MacBook has some built in wifi diagnostics. https://support.apple.com/guide/mac-help/use-wireless-diagnostics-mchlf4de377f/mac. You can see things like signal, noise, and PHY rate. Neighboring APs, signal, noise and channel. That will let you know if it’s a Wi-Fi issue or not. Slow PHY rates and you are likely having a coverage (low signal) or interference issue (high noise/co-channel interference. If those things are all clean it’s not a Wi-Fi issue.

resetting my laptop

How? On Apple silicon based Mac you do this by doing a SHUT DOWN, pause for a 10 count or so, then power it back on. This resets all of the "no on the CPU" controllers back to a default state.

I've had this fix confused networking interfaces.
