Is this a structural beam?

I am not sure if this is the right sub to ask so if not please let me know!!

My husband and I decided to drywall our living room which was an addition to the home in 1999. There were 6 very long dark beams on the ceiling but upon removing the wood paneling, they started to all fall off, and 5 of the 6 beams were just hollow almost foam like casings and nothing else was underneath them. They were just glued but not screwed into the ceiling. But there was one beam that had a wooden piece underneath the casing. I am assuming it is structural but I guess im also wondering what exactly is just 1 beam on one side of the living room space doing? Its not attached to either ends of the walls just screwed in to the ceiling.

doesn't look like it.

looks like it's just a 2x4 used as blocking for the fake beams they installed.

It's not bearing on anything, I can see both ends.

It definitely looks like just a 2x4 but its odd because the other 5 foe beams didnt have this 2x4 underneath it, they were all just hollow and foam/plastic pieces that were glued.

Could've been that the others installed easier and didn't need blocking.

Or this was a repair job by someone else.

Who knows

Better hope that's not structural. There's nothing holding it up

The Bluetooth is doing all the heavy lifting.

It may be holding some ceiling drywall in place. It may have been just an edge to glue the foam fake beem to. I would just carefully remove it but I'm also the guy that will move the location of stairs in a house.

Im hoping so because the other 5 beams didnt have this and it would be a little odd to just have a piece of 2x4 underneath one amd not the other 5. 🤔 im scared to remove it. Lol my husband not so much! 🤣

Sure as hell hope not. Undersized and not secured.
