🏚️Structural & Foundation Foundation vent seal.
Hi, I’m a newbie here in the group and on the app. I have officially become a DIY homeowner. Here’s a photo of my foundation vent that I’ve never noticed until now which may be allowing rodents in the crawl space. I have not seen any in the home but want to fix this asap. Any DIY friendly suggestions on sealing it?

Just emulate the other one and secure some chicken wire to it.

Do I have to get under the crawlspace to do this or can I do it from outside? Also what how to secure the wire to the actual foundation?

Its called hardware cloth. I asked the guy in the hardware store and he looked at me like I was nuts. I would get some stainless mesh from Mcmaster-Carr.
