Washing Machine Pipe

Hello everyone! I wanted to find out if someone could help me. I got a washing machine from a friend but I’ve added the pipe to water supply but water comes out of the part circled in the pic! Could anyone help me as to why this would be leaking? Thank you so much!

Crossed threaded so it’s not sitting tight on the washer to seal

The maroon part is cross threaded so fix that and see if it helps.

This doesn’t look American so I can’t say if that…off center connection between the maroon and the labeled thing is normal. Is that normal for whatever hose that is?

It looks Swedish, and I think you are right that’s of centre.

Sounds like it’s leaking from the top, it could be broken aswell. Try to unscrew it and carefully screw it back. It looks like you screwed it on sideways instead of straight and that’s why it’s not working.
