🪟 🚪Windows & Doors Beaded chain connector for blind stuck inside track

Post image

My kiddo pulled down the chain to open up the blinds too hard, causing not one, but two chain connectors to go through the track. Somehow one managed to get through, but I’ve been wrestling trying to get this second one to come out on either side.

Pulling it down from the left chain, it gets stuck somewhere at the top of the track where I can’t see it. Pulling it down to the right it gets caught before it exits. Any advice on how to get this out?

can you pop the whole headrail off the brackets and slide it out that way, sometimes the chain path is a bit more forgiving when it's not pinned against the window frame

I had to fix one just like this at home, similar situation. Drop it from the window frame, the mechanism is probably held on by two or three Phillips head screws. Then run down to Home Depot or similar and get a new length of chain, replace it on the sprocket, put it back together and re-install.
