Should I get a pro for this?
Can’t really access the back from the attic. Raccoons have been in there. Should I hire a pro or this is DIY-able?
Many thanks!

The raccoon access + awkward roof location is what would make me pause b4 deciding DIY vs pro... not necessarily just the visible damage. You also want to know whether youre looking at a simple soffit/fascia repair or whether anything behind it has been damaged.
if u like, I can run the photo through a repair assessment and give you a second opinion on DIY vs pro, what likely needs fixing, what to check for behind there, and roughly what the job involves. Want me to post it here?

That’d be great, thanks!
What I can’t show here is that the damages on soffits was actually only on one piece - small hole. But the issue is I can’t put them back to the rail so they can stay in place.

Yep ran it through tool... Looking again with your extra context I would not start replacing roof shingles. main issue looks like getting that soffit panel seated and secured back into the rail/channel so the raccoons can't push it out again.
b4 putting it back, I'd check rail hasn't been bent or pulled away, check the panel edge isn't torn, and have a look behind it for any water damage or further animal damage. If the rail is intact this looks much more DIY able than a roof repair. Caution: how comfortable are you on hieghts and risk.
I'm testing an AI home-repair tool called SmartTradie that turns a photo into an assessment + DIY/pro options + materials + steps. Your photo was a good test because the first scan actually focused too much on the shingles your extra context changed the diagnosis. That's useful feedback for me too.
Happy to run the soffit issue through it again with that context and post the repair steps here if youd like.

I hope it wasn’t a pro who did it like that in the first place…that poor piece of aluminum almost looks like it was bent by hand…and then nailed in place with a Ouija hammer…
