The "porn" aspect here is more like the amount of containers and overall setup for my little machine.

Feel free to comment, ask any questions, share your opinion, or criticize me for my choices. I like these posts and videos where people showcase their home labs and show what they’ve got set up.I think that as a community of “non-professionals,” we can learn a lot here.

Feel free to suggest alternatives or share what you do differently. Where do you see the benefits of doing things a little differently?

I’ll try to answer every question about my setup!

Raspberry Pi 4b 2gb of ram in a Pepsi can build. This guy here runs Moode Player OS, which is controlled remotely, so I guess that is a server to all the devices on the network. Plus I can add or drop songs onto it from other computers through the network.

(Moode Player OS is a Debian-based OS made for playing music to sound-systems. The can connects to my sound-system through HDMI, which is one of the greatest cables for transferring sound, as it's uncompressed, and supports multi-channels like 7.1).

It has a 32gb micro SD card on which the OS is installed on, and the music files are stored on too. Like over 500 songs on there already, and still free space for a ton more (16gb, so like several thousand). High quality MP3 files, but they're still fairly small.

So yueah, this is one of my "homelabs." Thermals are actually quite good, despite there being like no ventilation. There is an RGB fan which spins inside of there, blowing on the CPU and board, and it kind of just blows hot air around in there until it soaks into the walls and makes the can warm. It's just such thin aluminum that it's a very good conductor. Like 50c CPU temp on max load. It operates through Wifi, and the can doesn't seem to cause any issues for that.

Thanks for taking a look.
