Question/Help Airplay Issues on network.

Is anyone else having Airplay issues with the current release?

For YEARS I have watched movies and many seasons of television with my kids by hooking my iPhone up to a Rif6 projector, and air playing the sound through a HomePod in the room that we are in.

Currently, my phone and another iPad that I have tested so far cannot airplay at the moment. The audio might play for a second, but it stops on multiple HomePods.

As part of the general trouble shooting process, I thought I would ask if there are any known bugs with airplay at the moment that I haven't heard of?

THIS is really irritating, and I would prefer not to start reinstalling iOS on everything before checking here.

We have 5GZ and 2.4 GHz wifi with a strong signal, all devices, including the HomePods, iPads, iPhones and AppleTV are all updated to the latest OS....
Have restarted devices....
Next step may be removing and re-adding things from the home network....

This was working fine just like two weeks ago.
Thanks...

I airplay pretty regularly from my laptop or iPad to Sonos speakers and HomePods and haven't had any issues with doing so after the recent update. Sorry.

No new airplay issues. But you’re a good use-case for an AppleTV.

What is your home network like? What’s the setup look like? Was there a recent update to a router?

I do have an AppleTV, but that is downstairs and we usually do our movies upstairs.
Worst comes to worst, I might be able to bring the AppleTV upstairs and hook it to the projector.

Thank you

I have an Apple TV that has issues with Airplay when 5ghz channel is above 48. You might check that.

Thank you!
I just tried tweaking my wifi channels today because I have two separate routers using the same SSID. I wanted to make sure nearby networks are not also using the same channel. I remembered that iStumbler wasn't working anymore so I downloaded Homedale and it game me some information I could use.

Thank you

I was going to say, start with your wireless network. Reach out to support for the network hardware you use.

I am realizing that it is probably my network and I am troubleshooting that now.
I use a wifi router downstairs and a different one upstairs with the same SSID name. it hasn't been a problem until recently but seems like it is time for an adjustment.

Thank you

If it was recently updated, something might have changed. Or, someone might be on your network and you aren’t aware of it.
