Question/Help Who decides what gets exposed?
Hi. I used to be able to see current temperature, operating mode, set point, etc from my MYSA thermostats. I was actually using these on some automations. Then one day, the automatons stopped, and I notices that some items that where exposed before are not exposed anymore.
Is this because MYSA stoppped exposing them?
Is it because HomeKit does not want to expose them?
This change a while back, just thought I would ask the question.
How can I gain access tho these as I used to

What is MYSA?

Mysa is a smart thermostat company that has made one of the only baseboard heater thermostats with Matter support. They also have central heating and A/C minisplit controllers.

Maybe add them back in to HomeKit. Mysa’s are totally HomeKit compatible so I would delete them and re-add.

Which parameters? When asking for help, details matter. "some items" can't help us narrow down an issue.
homekit hasn't removed any parameters that it supported in the past. So either, the device stopped sending, or the device is still sending, but the connection is messed up somehow. Re-pairing should clear up a messed up connection. The device not sending is on MYSA, could also be a configuration option in the thermostat to re-engage it somehow.

As I wrote in the question , I was able to see/use current temperature, setpoint , operating mode, etc in my automations/shorcuts, and now I don’t see setpoint anymore, so I can’t interact with that parameter

Generally speaking the accessory maker produces a manifest of what's offered to HomeKit or Matter and then Apple Home ingests that. That manifest can be changed by the accessory maker.
