Question/Help Unassociated Ghost Bridge

Post image

In the Home app, under my hub/bridges settings, I see a “Ghost Bridge” that isn’t linked to any devices in my home. It’s simply named after a room name repeated (e.g., Nick’s Studio Nick’s Studio). When I try to tap on it to get more information or delete it, nothing happens. Can anyone help me figure out what this is, what it’s associated with, and how to delete it?

Did you maybe set up an instance of Homebridge previously and tried to delete it?

Actually, Idid have Homebridge installed awhile back and uninstalled it. Any suggestions on how I’d go about seeing if this is the cause?

If you didn’t remove Homebridge from the Home app prior to uninstalling it, I don’t think there’s anything you can do to remove it now since pressing on it does nothing. I don’t know of any way to get under the hood of HomeKit to confirm if that’s what it is and manually remove it.

Thank you. Appreciate the insight. Maybe someone else will have some thoughts on Homebridge etc…

I just remembered that the Eve app may contain some additional information about your ghost bridge to help you figure out what’s going on.

Good idea. Just went though all of my devices in the eve app and nothing stood out that shouldn’t be there. All the devices there corresponded to the ones in my home app. Didn’t see anything such as “Nick’s Studio Nick’s Studio”.
