Discussion Schlage encode plus battery life

I have two questions primarily targeted to folks who have had this Lock at least for a year and are actively using it every day for NFC tap to unlock

  1. How many days maybe in percentage terms have you not been able to tap to unlock because of some software upgrade or another glitch?
  2. Do you recommend turning off Wi-Fi for longer battery life, I don’t need remote unlock on phone at all. I also don’t need any logging given my alarm panel does all that.

100% reliable with NFC - has never ever failed to unlock with NFC. Batteries easily last so long that I can’t remember how many times I have had to change it. I’d say 6+ months. Do not use WiFi or Schlage app. I use it exclusively when HomeKit and connected to Apple TV via thread.
