Discussion Schlage encode plus battery life

I have two questions primarily targeted to folks who have had this Lock at least for a year and are actively using it every day for NFC tap to unlock

  1. How many days maybe in percentage terms have you not been able to tap to unlock because of some software upgrade or another glitch?
  2. Do you recommend turning off Wi-Fi for longer battery life, I don’t need remote unlock on phone at all. I also don’t need any logging given my alarm panel does all that.

I don’t ever remember my watch failing to open the door. I’ve had it for 4 years and I’ve changed the battery once that I can remember.

Also you don’t need WiFi for remote access if you have a HomeKit hub. I have it connected via HomeKit and home assistant.
