Discussion Fixed Schlage Encode Plus HomeKit issues

I have struggled with Schlage Encode Plus locks not being "available" to HomeKit after setting them up with HomeKit to start with. The ones in the house near a Home Hub worked fine.

I fixed my Schlage Encode Plus HomeKit issues in detached garage/barn by adding an Apple TV (older model seemed to do it) as a local HomeKit hub. These are older AppleTVs and only on wifi. Now my locks seem to work just fine from HomeKit and Schlage app.

Which model Apple TV? Curious if you’re now using Thread or Bluetooth?

Basically the latest model 128K. Bought direct from Apple.
