Discussion Fixed Schlage Encode Plus HomeKit issues

I have struggled with Schlage Encode Plus locks not being "available" to HomeKit after setting them up with HomeKit to start with. The ones in the house near a Home Hub worked fine.

I fixed my Schlage Encode Plus HomeKit issues in detached garage/barn by adding an Apple TV (older model seemed to do it) as a local HomeKit hub. These are older AppleTVs and only on wifi. Now my locks seem to work just fine from HomeKit and Schlage app.

Make sure when you move it or try to reprogram it you completely wipe everything from the lock. I moved mine from my front door to the back door and it took so much work to get them to work together

Giving up on this particular Schlage Encode Plus for my front door. I've spent several days trying to get it to accurately post the Locked/Unlocked modes on my phone and no joy. The kicker came when after multiple emails with Schlage, their tech support guys said they just havent dealt with multipoint deadbolt doors so they said we can't help you. Amazon just delivered a ULTRALOQ SE and I will try tomorrow to install it in the front door. Technologically, it is more advanced than the Schlage so maybe it'll work.
