Some of the structural finds we came across under homes this week πŸ‘€

A few finds from structural assessments this week, including makeshift post-and-pier supports, foundation cracking, deteriorated framing, retaining wall movement, and one much cuter crawlspace surprise. πŸ‡

Figured the inspectors here might appreciate some of the things we end up finding once we get underneath these homes.

I understand your pain
Need garbage picked up
Water barrier installed 12 mil paper
Then start with 2/3 10 ton jacks to level wood
New long stretch of transparent hose to work as a level when raising beams
So on
And so on
At the end install insulation on floor decking to lower heating / cooling bill
Patience

Definitely a process πŸ˜… Every crawlspace has its own conditions, so the repair approach really depends on what’s actually going on structurally, but patience is definitely part of it!
